Moxie Media Joins SXSW Festival, Spotlighting BIPOC Startup Stories & Artists

This marks Moxie Media's inaugural appearance at SXSW, and they're here to make an impact. Stay tuned for their coverage as we dive deep into the narratives that deserve the spotlight, weaving together stories that reflect the rich diversity and creativity within the startup world. This is more than an introduction; it's a celebration of voices that need to be heard.

Welcome to the electrifying world of South By Southwest (SXSW), where Moxie AI is set to make waves with the formal launch of Moxie Media. As we step into the bustling tech-arts festival, we're not just here to witness; we're here to amplify unheard voices and celebrate innovation from BIPOC founders.

This marks Moxie Media's inaugural appearance at SXSW, and we're here to make an impact. Stay tuned for their coverage as we dive deep into the narratives that deserve the spotlight, weaving together stories that reflect the rich diversity and creativity within the startup world. This is more than an introduction; it's a celebration of voices that need to be heard.

This iconic festival is hitting its 37th year, and it's shaping up to be a blast. And guess what? AI is stealing the spotlight, with a deep dive into climate solutions, electric vehicles, and the journey to 2050. But that's not all – alongside Hollywood glitz, carnival rides, and live tunes, there's a treasure trove of sessions to help you rub shoulders with venture capitalists, team up with government agencies, and make some serious industry connections.

Now, rewind a bit to pre-pandemic times when almost half a million folks flocked to SXSW in 2020. Fast forward to today, and we've got Rolling Stone's parent company, Penske Media, swooping in with a 50% stake in 2021, ensuring that SXSW stays on the map. With over 300,000 people expected to make a comeback this year, it's still the go-to place for big ideas.

Uber's CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, Waymo's cofounder Anthony Levandowski, Figma's CEO Dylan Field, Facebook's cofounder Andrew McCollum, popsci YouTuber Mark Rober, and heavyweight AI investors like Vinod Khosla, Chris Dixon, Michael Dell, and Mark Cuban are all in the lineup. And that's not all – keep your eyes peeled for Airbnb's cofounder Joe Gebbia.

Oh, did we mention the star-studded cast of celebrities gracing the event? Kirsten Dunst, Selena Gomez, Elijah Wood, Seth Green, and many more will be there. Picture red carpet glam with Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Ryan Gosling, and a slew of other A-listers. And hold your breath, because the Cinema Center is hosting premiere parties for Sydney Sweeney, Nicholas Cage, Pedro Pascal, Mark Duplass, and surprise guests – more names to drop soon!

But wait, don't get stuck in those lines. Grab your badge at the Austin Convention Center in Exhibit Hall 1 before the show kicks off. SXXPRESS passes in the app are your golden ticket to skip lines at the hottest events. And hey, there are free shuttles running from 9 am to 2 am to zip you to the main venues.

Hungry for details? Here's a taste of the programming, along with where to find the coolest attractions, open bars, and gourmet bites. Some of the top talks will be livestreamed at youtube.com/sxsw. I'm even hopping on a panel about AI powering talent development at the workplace on Saturday, March 9, from 4 to 5 pm at the Austin Marriott Downtown, Waller Ballroom DEF.

And don't miss out on unique workshops like "How to Train Your Humanoid Robot to Cook, Clean, and Deliver Goods" and "How to Build Your Own 5G Tower." Oh, and did we mention a live NASA astronaut AMA from the International Space Station? Keep things up-to-date by downloading the app and checking the website before you head out. And if you stumble upon a must-see event, share the love in the comments! See you there! 🚀 #SXSW #TechMeetsArts
